Jessica runs The Way Shamanism, and her calling is “to place the relationship with the divine back in the centre of your life … to help you heal, step into their full potential and experience a life of indestructible happiness.”
Jessica found me through my website as she was looking for someone who could work with her to create new images for her website and social media.
Jessica has a deep connection with nature, and in her last few weeks in Australia, wanted a selection of images that reflected this relationship.
After a number of recommendations, we settled on Dog Rocks Reserve near Geelong, and the You Yangs Regional Park. Both locations are within an hour’s drive of Melbourne, and present a number of different environments to shoot in. Booked as a full day, I provided transport to and from the locations, and 3.5 - 4 hours of photography, plus post production and digital delivery.
We took the opportunity to get to know each other on the trip, and to understand Jessica’s business and approach. This meant that we had an open and natural relationship by the time we arrived. We spent some time in the first hour to understand what was working, and what wasn’t working, to adjust our style for the remainder of the shoot.
As well as being quite beautiful, Jessica had great body awareness and understood the angles and lines that suited her. We moved quickly from static posed shots to shots as she moved, finding the perfect settings to highlight her connection to nature.
This was a beautiful partnership the resulted in some stunning images. I’m so thankful to Jessica for the opportunity to work with her, and will watch her progress keenly.
