ReImagined Cities (2020)

Reimagined cities began in the depths of Melbourne's 2020 lockdown. Stuck at home I was pondering the deserted city of Melbourne only a few kilometres away, but inaccessible. The first image was the Flinders St Station, and was a play on the word 'deserted'. I was imagining a city in the not too distant future depopulated by some pandemic or other emergency. I then created two more images, one in Southern Cross Station, and another outside Melbourne's South Wharf district with the iconic freeway arches. Later in 2022 I played with the idea of a city coming back to life, set in Hosier Lane (although I had to source images from the web as I was unable to get into the city to shoot at the time, being back in lockdown).
I'll add more to this series as time goes by, so check back now and then.
