COVID Balloons (2020)

During Melbourne's first lockdown, I was feeling trapped and creatively flat. I became aware of so many missed opportunities and events in our lives that are usually points to stop and bear witness. Birthdays, celebrations, farewells - they were all seeming to pass unnoticed. I set out to draw on these feelings and create a series of images that captured events tat might have been. Using a helium balloon as a device, the image asks us to ponder all the occasions that might have been.
